Jamie Wilcox
A product of North Bay, Jamie graduated from Chippewa Secondary School before attending the University of Western Ontario where he obtained his Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in geography in 1979 and his Bachelor of Laws in 1982. He articled with George E. Wallace, one of the fim's founders, was called to the bar in 1984, and practised law for several years in Parry Sound and Barrie. After returning to North Bay in 1989, he built a busy general practice before joining the firm in 1998. His practice includes family law, collaborative family law, civil litigation, real estate, wills and estates, mental health law and mediation. He was appointed to the Ontario Review Board in 1998.
Jamie balances his career with his family life, personal interests and community service. He and his wife, Kathy, have three young children and enjoy various sports and hobbies as well as travel. Community involvement has included membership in the Kinsmen Club, Rotary Club, and Royal Canadian Legion and service on the Boards of Directors of the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce and the North Bay Civic and General Hospitals, as well as the Legal Aid Area Committee for Nipissing District.
